David Gandy will be a guest speaker at the Oxford University Union

We are pleased to inform you that on Monday, November 19th, at 19:30 pm, David Gandy will participate, as a guest speaker, in the annual round of conferences organized by the Oxford University Union.

The Union, founded in 1823, has hosted world leaders in virtually every field, ranging from Richard Nixon to Jimmy Carter, from Michael Jackson to Clint Eastwood and from the Dalai Lama to Mother Teresa.

Mr. Gandy has been invited because of his exemplary professional career. He is the world's only male supermodel. His career exploded six years ago when he became Dolce & Gabbana's muse, shot by Mario Testino. Since then, he has broken the boundaries of what is achievable in male modelling, diversifying his career from cover star and magazine favourite to (amongst other things) launching his own apps, starring in a short film, working as part of the BFC Men's Collection: London Committee and representing the UK internationally as part of the Olympic Closing Ceremony's fashion tribute. David is currently the face of D&G and of Marks & Spencer. He joins acclaimed editor Esquire magazine, Alex Bilmes. Alex, a former contributing editor at British Vogue and Features Editor of GQ, is a respected journalist and has written for titles including The Observer, The Spectator, The Sunday Times and The Independent. He has interviewed some of the most sought after individuals in the entertainment business - testament to his combined likeability, talent and experience

And finally this will be the second time that David Gandy has attended an event organized by the The Union. On May 3rd, 2010 he was invited to join the panel of the Oxford Fashion Week Forum along with Tony Mc Gee, fabulous photographer; Dolly Jones, glamourous Editor of; fabulous Claire Wilcox, curator at the V&A, talking about his life on Fashion and answering more than 2 hours of Q&A with the student.
